Our Mission

In the book of Acts in scripture, what made the Church radical, counter cultural and attractive was the community of faith it was made up of and their oneness. It was understood that the Church wasn’t a building. It wasn’t an event or a service. It wasn’t an exclusive social club. It wasn’t even the right denomination with the right theology. It was understood that individually we are God’s temple and that the Spirit resides in us. It was understood that WE believers collectively are the Church. It’s wasn’t something you attended. It was WHO you were and it was transforming! We were never created to function in our own power. Jesus did not intend for our spiritual lives to be lived in silos, but for His Church to do life together.

What We Believe

can you buy zovirax over the counter in the uk About God – We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is love. He is our Good Shepherd who patiently guides and protects us. Though we don’t always understand, we are assured that God is for us.

About Humanity – We believe that all of humanity has been created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. However, through sin we have been alienated from our Creator. We are unable to make things right through our own effort or work.

About Salvation – We believe that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. It is through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and acceptance of Him as our Savior that we are forgiven and regain a right relationship with God.

About Church – We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and that Jesus Christ is the head of it. We are called to Christ and to His work. We are to love God and each other while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to all the world.

Our Pastor

PASTOR SYDNEY HENRY
PASTOR SYDNEY HENRY
Sydney Henry was born and raised in Detroit, MI. During college her passion for ministry grew as she led out in various organizations and choirs. However, struggling to fully believe that God had a plan for her life, but wanting to dedicate her gifts and life towards ministry, Sydney began and completed graduate school at the University of Michigan where she earned a Master of Public Administration with a graduate certificate in nonprofit leadership. She did so with the intention of entering the nonprofit sector and hoped that she could someday work in a faith-based nonprofit.

God however had other plans. For her, ministry has been the only door God has opened. Sydney graduated from seminary at Andrews University with a Master of Arts in Youth and Young Adult Ministry. In 2017, she was ordained in the work of the gospel ministry. Pastor Sydney’s desire is to abandon comfort and safe living for risk taking and a mission driven life.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.

C. S. Lewis
